Leeds Mehndi Party: Komal
I love when I get to work individually with both the bride's family and the groom's at an Asian wedding to photograph separate events. This was the case when I photographed Komal's mehndi celebrations. It was actually her Mother-In-Law to be who recommended me to Komal after she booked me for her son, Babber's mehndi in Manchester. They both chose to have intimate celebrations in their back gardens with the aid of a marquee. Here a few pictures from Komal's marquee mehndi party.

Komal's sisters and best friend lit candles in time for Komal's big entrance into the marquee.
Komal's mehndi artist applied a beautiful henna design to Komal's feet just before she made her big entrance into the marquee. So not to smudge the design, Komal walked barefoot. Komal's brother, was a true gentleman and helped her down the steps.
Komal had lots and lots of cup cakes at her mehndi in all types flavours - I love these coffee bean ones with the cute red lips.. they were all hand made by Komal's family.
