Bush Hall Wedding: Naomi + Malowa

The bride and groom were recommended to me by amazing florists, Everything Rosy Ltd. who I have worked with previously (Click here and here for my other weddings). I received the e-mail enquiry from Naomi while I was on my travels around Thailand and Cambodia, but managed to confirm the booking while I was abroad by the magic of the internet.

Naomi & Malowa (or Michael as he is known by some) were married in a beautiful light and airy church in London followed by their reception at Bush Hall in London.  Naomi is from a Caribbean background while Michael's family is Nigerian. For me it was really beautiful seeing the two cultures being celebrated on the day from the food that was served to the music that was being played at the reception it really was amazing.

Dancing shoes...and that's exactly what Naomi did all night long, including down the aisle with Michael as husband and wife.

LOVE these bouquets by Everything Rosy LTD.

Naomi wore a beautiful fishtail wedding dress and arranged to have the diamante band added afterwards for extra glitz.

A present from Naomi's grandma.

Naomi's Mum insisted that Naomi ate before her big day, so rustled up some scrabbled eggs for her to eat - that's what Mum's are for hey!

"You can't get married on an empty stomach" - said Naomi's Mum...

Naomi arrived at the church, happy and smiling...

I love the details! Check out Michael's cuff links

Bush Hall in Shephards Bush, London... It is such a lovely venue with lots of interesting features. We had already done the couples photoshoot in the church grounds, but when I spotted this little balcony upstairs in the reception hall, I couldn't resist making use of the cool setting so I persuaded Naomi & Michael to take a few more pictures.

How do you feed 200+ wedding guests, wedding cake? A 10 tier cupcake wedding cake that's how! (This is a close up shot)...the other 4 tiers are hidden below.

In keeping with Nigerian tradition - The bride and groom (and also Mum) were sprayed with money during their opening dance by family and well wishers...

Michael's Mum looking regal as she is sprayed with money by well-wishers.

The photograph on the left is of the backdrop behind the head table and fit perfectly with the decadence of the room which featured ornate mirrors and opulent crystal chandeliers.
