How do you imagine Japan? For me, I imagine the city, I imagine Tokyo, the hustle and bustle. If I imagine a little further, I think of the Japanese temples. What I don’t think of is a beach, that could almost look like somewhere in England. When I flew to Tokyo, Japan in November 2017 for a couple of days, I also squeezed in a trip to Okinawa and it definitely was a squeeze! We literally had a night and a day. Here are the pictures from that trip.

We flew from Tokyo to Okinawa with Jetstar.

We stayed at a little guest house not far from the beach.

Overcast skies…

If you look closely, you will see that the rock face resembles an elephant’s trunk.

Green tea… naturally.

The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

We visited The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium which up until 2005, was the largest aquarium in the world. This was the view, just before going into the aquarium.
