Rise Hall Wedding: Becca & George
Becca & George were married in the magnificent Rise Hall situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England in 27 acres of landscaped grounds and surrounded by idyllic countryside with beautiful views. The Hall was built by architects Watson and Pritchett between 1815 and 1820 for the High Sheriff of Yorkshire, Richard Bethell and remained the Bethell family seat until after the Second World War when it was leased to St Philomenas Convent School. After the school closed, the house stood empty and in an increasingly derelict state, until television presenter, Sarah Beeny from Channel 4's Property Ladder and Graham Swift bought it in 2001 and began renovations.Becca's bouquet... The bridesmaids' dresses were the same colour as the purple flowers.Rise Hall is such a lovely venue...I was in love with the beautiful sash windows with the matching shutters...The bride wore Chanel..The great thing about older buildings, is that they have lots of interesting original features... Rise Hall is particularly great because its old but really bright and airy, perfect for photography...Becca & George choose to make their grand entrance as husband and wife via the central staircase in the main foyeur of Rise Hall. Their wedding guests were waiting at the bottom of the stairs.I love that Becca and George arranged to have charactures made for each of their guests as the place settings. The light was so beautiful towards the end of the day, we had to go out and take more pictures.Venue: Rise HallPhotography: Tanya Weekes
