Fashion Portrait: Ella Lin

Since I have been based out in Toufen, Taiwan, I have been fortunate enough to meet lots of different people especially so since I have started attending a weekly belly dancing class. It was at this class that I met lovely Ella Lin who runs her own successful online fashion business. We met for lunch and discussed ideas for a fashion portrait shoot, including clothing options and possible locations. It is always great to get an idea of what a client is thinking of wearing so that I can have an idea of what will work in advance, which saves time and helps maximise shooting time. Since Ella was wearing a navy dress, I wanted to make sure that the setting was as light as possible so that her dress stood out in the picture and provided a nice contrast. I suggested the area in front of Northern Miaoli Art Centre.  The light coloured walls outside the centre are great as the act as a natural light reflector, perfect for nice bright pictures and filling in any unflattering shadows.For the second location, we headed across the road to Chunan Sports Park.
